My Story

Elizabeth’s path to becoming a therapist began with her work in Dance Movement Therapy, where she taught individuals living with Dementia, Parkinson’s Disease, and other physical disabilities. While movement played a key role in the classes, Elizabeth quickly realized that the true catalyst for positive change was the deep connection she built with her students. This bond allowed them to feel heard, open up, and share their experiences—something she recognized as a powerful tool for healing. This insight sparked her passion for pursuing counseling psychology, with the goal of directly supporting individuals in making positive life changes.

Elizabeth draws from a range of therapeutic techniques, with a particular focus on Trauma-Informed Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and Somatic Therapy. With a background in Psychology and Kinesiology, Elizabeth specializes in the connection between mind and body, offering a holistic approach to mental health that helps clients heal on multiple levels.Through a combination of talk therapy, somatic exercises, emotional regulation techniques, and mindfulness practices, Elizabeth helps clients manage their mental health, process trauma, and build healthier coping strategies. Whether it's reducing mental or physical symptoms, improving self-awareness, or navigating life transitions, Elizabeth’s goal is to guide clients toward meaningful change.
